Free Community Shred Day to be hosted by OSU Federal

Saturday, September 15, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Keizer Safeway parking lot

Keizer, OR – OSU Federal, Your Community Credit Union, invites the public to a free community document shred-day on Saturday, September 15, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Keizer Safeway parking lot, 4990 River Road North.

Hosted by OSU Federal as a community service, anyone can bring up to three boxes of outdated documents such as old checks or outdated forms and statements with personal information. Documents will be securely shredded onsite for free with easy drop off outside the OSU Federal Safeway branch in the south side of the parking lot through 1 p.m. or until the shred truck is full.

KBZY 1490 AM Radio will broadcast from the event and provide prize giveaways including a trip to the coast and restaurant gift cards.

“These events have been very well received in the past as we have coordinated two similar shred days in North Albany and both have been well-received with more than 7,000 tons of paper shredded each time,” said OSU Federal Keizer Branch Manager Cathy Holmes. “We remain an active partner in the Keizer community and shredding is just another way for us to live by two of our values, social responsibility and cooperative spirit.”

OSU Federal is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its more than 71,000 members and open to anyone who lives, works, or goes to school in Benton, Lincoln, Linn, Marion or Polk County.
