Potential for American Gas & Technology Job Growth

Infrastructure setbacks have made the renovation process for the old Tyco complex in Dallas “more daunting than expected,” reported Statesman Journal in February. Abandoned since 2007, Tyco’s leave cost approximately 300 local jobs. However, the site’s new owner, American Gas & Technology, is working to renew the site as an employment center. AG&T is headed by CEO and board chairman Ray Tate. Tate moved his family to Dallas from Silicon Valley shortly after the site purchase in October, and is "excited about the reception by the city of Dallas, the county, and the state." AG&T’s new site will focus on manufacturing two different sizes of small-footprint liquid natural gas fueling units. Tate noted that the company is “right on schedule” when it comes to prepping the complex for manufacturing.
