| Regal Cinemas Construction and New Stores Coming to Lancaster Mall
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 6, 2005 Lancaster Development Company, LLC is pleased to announce its latest major undertaking at Lancaster Mall with the addition of a new state-of-the-art Regal Cinemas theatre complex. The new theatre, to be called Lancaster Mall Stadium 11, will kick off construction in July 2005 with the cinema’s anticipated Grand Opening in the summer of 2006. The new state-of-the-art theatre will encompass approximately 54,000 square feet. The entertainment destination will include stadium seating throughout, the latest in digital sound technology, several large auditoriums for blockbuster crowds and a total seating capacity of more than 2,200. In addition to the new theatre, the mall will get a new redesigned mall entry and improvements will also be made to the mall’s parking lot. The D Street side of the mall will be repaved with plenty of free, easy access parking, along with new landscaping and brighter lighting. The new construction will include new and existing tenants, a new entrance near the Macy’s department store, new public restrooms, a conference room, management offices, customer service area, and a pedestrian walkway connecting the new mall entry to the theatre. The existing four screen Regal Cinemas will be demolished to make way for the new entertainment complex. Several stores will also be relocated in the new mall layout. In addition to the new theatre and mall improvements, new stores for Binyon’s Eyeworld, Image Express, Beauty Nails and Life Uniforms will be constructed in different sections of the mall and Fred Meyer Jewelers and Fuel will be building new, expanded stores. Also, look for other new stores to open at Lancaster Mall soon, including Regis Hair Salon and Famous Footwear. Lancaster Mall, Salem’s only regional shopping center on one level is located in East Salem, minutes from 1-5 North and South exits off Market Street. Customers currently enjoy many shopping choices with Old Navy, Linens-n-Things, Pier One Imports, Sears, Burlington Coat Factory, Macy’s, Copeland Sports, Best Buy and over 80 local, regional and national specialty stores.
