Construction Alliance

Building the Local Construction Industry

The SEDCOR Construction Alliance (SCA) works to create a competitive advantage for developers, companies and investors in the Mid-Willamette Valley’s construction industry. Companies from builders to HVAC to concrete services work together to promote the quality and integrity of the region’s businesses.

Mission Statement

Dedicated to providing a strategic and economically competitive advantage to investors, developers and corporations working to improve the economic diversity and well being of the Mid-Willamette Valley. A competitive advantage is realized through this partnership of selected construction industry professionals who have proven themselves equally committed to integrity, excellence, education and accountability in all aspects of business and construction.

Workforce Development

Additionally, SCA educates students about the construction industry and helps teach fundamental skills to gain competencies for a job in the industry. The program is based on skills identified by the Industrial Maintenance Operator/Mechanic or IMOM Training Program. Students at nine high schools in Marion and Polk County school districts, and those in community projects, gain hands-on experience. This industry-driven skills development helps our region retain and expand companies by keeping them competitive.

Recent Highlights:

  • Helped establish and launch the Santiam Rebuild Coalition to bring as many resources as possible to the communities, neighborhoods, and families devastated by the wildfires of 2020. These projects include a brand new community center in the heart of Detroit, building ramps into temporary dwellings for the handicapped, building roads, rewiring donated dwellings, building outbuildings for livestock, and bringing together dozens of volunteer groups to build storage sheds. Members of the Santiam Rebuild Coalition have donated hundreds of hours of time and substantial financial resources and will continue to do so as the rebuilding effort continues.
  • Community leaders and construction professionals came together to teach skills of the industry to students and help “raise the rafters” of the Discovery Pavilion at The Oregon Garden. Members of SCA worked with teams of Silverton and Stayton high school students to help build the 1,300-square-foot, covered open-air pavilion.
